Interesting list of what makes China’s world go round – The following is a list of medical “remedies” and “cures” to the Chinese:

*Pangolin: the scales cure rheumatism, promote lactation for breast-feeding mothers
*Tiger: the bones are used to heal arthritis (as well as in wines and plasters)
*Wild Mole Rat: bones ground up for healing arthritis
*Rhino: the horn is ground up medicine for fever, convulsions, delirium
*Black bear: the bile is medicine for liver ailments and headaches
*Musk deer: the musk promotes circulation, treats skin infections, and abdominal pain (not to mention it makes perfume)
*Seahorse: Kidney ailments, circulatory problems and impotence (approx 90 health and medicine products in China contain seahorse)
*Elephant: skin is used to cure acne
*Cockroaches: help stroke victims
*Monkey: the heads are eaten to cure headaches
*Turtle: heads are eaten to aid in labor pains
*Snake: the glands are good for the eyes; while the gall bladder cures bronchitis
*Lizards: treatment for high blood pressure
*Gazelle: skulls are ground up to make you stronger; while the gallstones treat fever and inflammation
*Weaver ants: treat asthma
*Silkworm: the feces treats typhus
*Malayan Tapir: the skin removes boils
*Deer: the antlers ward off flu and colds
*Cicadas: improve eyesight
*Dogs, cats and goats: always good filler for any of the above when endangered species can’t be had

And hold onto your hats ladies and gentlemen – here is the list for Chinese aphrodisiacs
